Purchase and resale of train tickets between individuals

If you are looking to buy a train ticket or to sell cheaper tickets, try the “swap notes”. This system of buying and reselling tickets between individuals is very useful, but beware of traps.

Principle
Customers can now buy or sell their train tickets to other users. Several sites list the specific announcements. They can then establish a connection with the seller to arrange the transaction.

This system is legal and is very useful for:

- Find tickets when the train is complete;
- Resell tickets “non refundable” and / or “non-tradable”
- Buy cheaper tickets.

Generally, ticket prices rise as departure approaches. That’s the whole point of the principle sites of reselling tickets: the seller can not resell their tickets above the price at which it is earned. You can save up to 70% of the price in effect at the time you want to buy your ticket.

In practice
If you are looking for a ticket:

- Do a search on one of these sites;
- Get in touch with the dealer;
- Set the purchase in secure mode;
- Get the ticket;
- File an assessment on the seller’s profile.

NB: Some offers only work on the mode of exchange. You will need to submit a ticket to sell before they can benefit.

If you want to resell a ticket:

- Make a deposit;
- Specify the payment terms and delivery (in person, by mail, etc.).
- Respond to requests from buyers;
- Deliver the ticket in time.

Note: Be sure to keep proof of shipment to deal with a possible delay of delivery.

Namely
Attention e-tickets are nominative. If the ticket has already been printed, you can no longer change the name. And use a ticket that bears the name of someone else is liable to a fine.

You should:

- Purchase only electronic tickets unprinted (usually mentioned in the advertisement);
- Do not print or have printed the tickets you are listing.

If you buy a ticket registered already printed (and therefore unusable), you will not get remboursementdu site where you bought it. These sites act as intermediaries and are therefore based on the good faith of the sellers.
Also be careful when you do buy a ticket on one of these sites. Sellers are often requested by several customers for the same ticket. We must therefore ensure that:

- Confirmation that you have been chosen as the purchaser;
- Keep a classic book until the ticket.
