Buy online
Buy your ticket on the Internet is often advantageous in terms of price. This allows you to:
- Save the agency fee;
- Take advantage of special offers (only available on the Net);
- Easily compare different offers and rates.
Be careful: too attractive prices. They may not include all costs.
Charter flights and low cost
Here are two names that often herald prices. However, they do not mean quite the same thing.
A charter flight is not a scheduled flight, but a flight chartered by a tour operator for a given period with fewer benefits. You can find a charter flight from most airlines or travel agencies.
The low-cost airlines only offer flights with reduced benefits. Their prices are always interesting. Even more if you book well in advance or on the contrary, a few days before departure.
Please note: checked baggage and meals on board are usually paid. You must therefore take into account in the final price.
Tickets “promo”
You will often see the words “good plans”, “discount”, “special promotion”, etc.. These endorsements indicate a significant reduction on a ticket. The reasons for these discounts are multiple, but often it is an operation to attract new customers.
The departure dates are generally inflexible. And when you enter your own criteria, it is possible that the final price is not at all attractive. But if you go into the boxes, it’s worth a try.
Check last minute
If you do not have exact dates or destination, try the “last minute flights” or “Supersaver”. You can find them:
- Directly at the counter agents at the airport: if space or if someone does not appear to take flight. Allow a few hours of waiting anyway, since companies typically wait until the last minute to lower their prices;
- From airlines or travel agencies: they selling off some flights 24 or 48 hours before departure if the plane is not full;
- Consulting the headings “last minute” Internet sites or niche sites like the famous Last Minute.
Inclusive Tour
Some travel agencies offer deals all-inclusive, including flight and hotel. Even if you do not want to go into the proposed hotel, prices are sometimes more interesting than the flight alone.
Note: You can especially find lower rates through these packages if you go a full weekend or a week.
