Discovering the artistic Naples


Naples, located in southern Italy, is one of the most visited cities in the country. With a mild climate due to its proximity to the Tyrrhenian Sea coast and the Mediterranean, and so crowded beaches, is located in a strategic point for tourist arrivals by sea.

One could speak of Naples as a place of great cultural and artistic weight. One of the main attractions is the large number of castles, that despite the time and thanks to parts or renovations are able to maintain and today are buildings that belong to the state, and are used for public purposes, or became part of the large number of museums and theaters that the city already owned.

Among the most popular can be seen Egg Castle located on the island of Megaride, Capuano Castle, the place where the courts, and particularly it still maintains the original style in which it was built, an imposing baroque structure located in the center of the new skyscraper zone, which makes it even more heterogeneous the beautiful view, you can get from the hill Posillipo Via Petrarca.

It also emphasizes in its metropolitan area, the huge number of churches, which dominate the Neapolitan landscape. As the city with the highest number of churches in the world, surpassing the 400, they became a magnet for tourism, many of them refurbished, and most of the year, closed for repairs, due to constant earthquakes occurred in the Naples area.

In the center of the city, are the catacombs and underground tunnels running through the city, and used for commercial purposes, and where today there are tours tourist purposes only. And last but not least, the great weight that there was history, art and culture, managed by UNESCO declared the historic center as a World Heritage Site. In short, Naples, a city which mixes the historical with the modern cult.
