Fuerteventura is the most arid of the Canary Islands and also the closest to the African coast. On May 26, 2009 it was declared a biosphere reserve by UNESCO.
The origin of the first settlers of Fuerteventura has been always surrounded by many legends, although more recent studies suggest a Berber root, as can be seen in the líbico-bereberes cave inscriptions distributed throughout the island.
Throughout the island of Fuerteventura, the visitor can admire unique and beautiful natural spaces, such as las dunas de Corralejo (with miles of sand dunes), the mountain of Tindaya (one of the most characteristic of the geomorphology of Fuerteventura), without forgetting the breathtaking landscapes including the Arch of Jandía Cofete.
In Fuerteventura you’ll not only find beaches, also enjoy a wide cultural offer through its network of museums, religious architecture, buy crafts or participate in their festivals.
On this island there is care and exclusive circuit of spa where you will find relaxation and comfort in all its forms: sauna, whirlpool, etc. You can also enjoy the Thalassotherapy centres which take advantage of the benefits of the climate, the sea water, algae, and flora.
Fuerteventura has magnificent leisure centres where the entire family can enjoy unforgettable days surrounded by the best shows with more exotic animals and plants.
