
Who would say to Vincent Van Gogh that throughout the twentieth century was to become one of the most sought after painters in history of art and an emblem of the heritage of his native country Holland. And although throughout his life, malvivió with the help of his brother, now Van Gogh name is synonymous with popular and economical appraisal. This museum opened its doors in 1973, and most of its funds come from the private collection of Theo Van Gogh, the younger brother that kept him all his life and that in return for their support, he sent his paintings Vincent as a reward and hope he was able to sell something.
The collection consists of over two hundred pictures, some five hundred and eighty drawings, gan addition of the letters he Vincent Van Gogh. To this we add works by other artists, both Vincent and Theo, were gathering along his life.
All this gives us a magnificent display of the work of Van Gogh, and here you can see some of his most emblematic works like: The Room or The Yellow House, as well as much of his self-portraits in which his tormented personality manifests and some of his most famous still life, as in the case of sunflowers.
