Amid the Yanshan Mountains, there are more surprises great for sightseeing in China. Chengde is famous for having been a former imperial summer residence, and thus save a monumental legacy.

Around the lake from the residence, you can see walls, temples and pagodas around the Putuo Zongcheng, a Buddhist temple that is inspired by the Potala Palace, the ancient sanctuary of the Dalai Lama in Tibet.
