Parks and the many we have in Spain, today we turn to tour the Natural Park of Serra D’Irta Irta or located in Castellón, Comunidad Valenciana. A protected area that stands out, among other qualities, being the only coastal area free of buildings from Andalusia to France.

Natural Park Sierra de Irta, is located in the northern province of Castellón, in the towns of Peniscola, Santa Magdalena de Pulpis and Alcalá de Xivert. It comprises 7,744 hectares of land and sea in 2448 that develops virgin flora and fauna typical of the Mediterranean coast.
The coastal landscape is delineated by steep cliffs, crags and beaches where the waves break the Mediterranean Sea. There live a lot of birds, many endangered species, such as shag, eagle, Curlew, warblers and Audouin’s gull, among others. More than 20 species of reptiles and amphibians, and a variety of species of butterflies are other highlights of the inhabitants of the reserve.
