Surely many (like me) likes destinations that are better not change. In countries such as China, growth in their cities rush is leaving the past behind, or worse, leaving part of the urban heritage preserved for centuries under the threat of bulldozers, which give way to skyscrapers and zones “adapted” to the dimensions and styles modern. Therefore, places like Pingyao gain increasingly popular among lovers of the real China. Pingyao is a relic in its historical city, a lovely Chinese people that it is sometimes difficult to find so auténtico.Pingyao was founded in the fourteenth century and held in historic area much of the look of the architecture of the Ming and Qing times even with a wall that protects the area with huge gates and watchtowers. Judging by the images seems obvious to understand why Pingyao was declared a World Heritage Site.
Pingyao and its historic center, is now a resort where people still are turning mainly to farming and ranching. Located in China’s Shanxi Province, 80 kilometers from the city of Taiyuan.
